WHA Birth State Breakdown

The WHA (World Hockey Association) is a former professional hockey league that operated for seven seasons between years 1972 and 1979. The proportion of American players in the WHA remained below 15 percent in all seasons. Players from Minnesota, Massachusetts and Michigan accounted for at least 80% of all U.S.-born players in every season.

All-time American-born points leader was Robbie Ftorek who scored 523 points in 373 games.
