IHL Nationality Breakdown

The IHL (International Hockey League) was a North American minor professional league that ceased operations in 2001. The proportion of European players in the league rose in the early 1990s when players from the former Soviet Union and Czechoslovakia became available to the Western player market. A similar trend is observed in the nationalities of players in the AHL and ECHL.
