BCHL Birth Province Breakdown

The BCHL (British Columbia Hockey League) is a Canadian junior league for players under the age of 20. As expected, most players come from the league home province British Columbia, but the BCHL also pulls significant number of players from the neighbouring Alberta as well as Ontario and Quebec.

The proportion of Albertans jumped during the 2023-2024 season when five AJHL teams joined the BCHL mid-season.

The chart below shows the relative proportions of different birth provinces in the BCHL from the 2003-2004 season onwards. Data used in the chart can be found on the birth province totals statistics pages.
