SPHL Nationality Breakdown

The SPHL (Southern Professional Hockey League) is an American low-level minor professional league, whose players largely come from the United States and Canada. Over the years, the proportion of American players in the league has risen from 30 percent to over 50 percent, while the proportion of Canadian players has decreased. The percentage of European players has remained below 10 percent and is very similar to the higher-level ECHL but much lower than in the AHL.
