BCHL Birth State Breakdown

The BCHL (British Columbia Hockey League) is a Canadian junior league for players under the age of 20. The number of American players in the BCHL has increased from season to season. In the early 2000s, the majority of players born in the United States came from California, Alaska, and Washington on the U.S. West Coast, but since then, the number of players from other states has also increased.

The chart below shows the relative proportions of different birth states in the BCHL from the 2003-2004 season onwards. Season specific data used in the chart can be found on the birth state totals statistics pages.
