AJHL Birth Province Breakdown

The AJHL (Alberta Junior Hockey League) is a Canadian junior league for players under the age of 20. As expected, most players come from the province of Alberta where the league operates. The proportion of Albertans has, however, decreased over the years from 85 to 65 percent. Neighbouring British Columbia and Saskatchewan also produce a steady stream of players to the league, while Ontario has gradually contributed more players to the league.

The chart below shows the relative proportions of different birth provinces in the AJHL from the 2005-2006 season onwards. Data used in the chart can be found on the birth province totals statistics pages.
